Artistic tribute to Gattuso in Corigliano Calabro

Gennaro Gattuso is much more than Corigliano Calabro's most famous son. He is an idol to the residents of the Italian town, and receives frequent displays of affection for putting the area on the map.
The latest homage to the Valencia CF coach has been made through the medium of art, as in the streets of Schivonea, an impressive mural of Gattuso has been painted.
Street artist Claudio Chiaravallloti – Morne was commissioned to paint the piece, which shows Gattuso raising the 2006 World Cup with Italy.
The project was an initiative by the 'Schiavonea e Sant'Angelo' association and Mario Martilotti, the head of urban regeneration in the area.
